I'm running for Governor because Texas deserves better than politics as usual. Switching back and forth between Democrats and Republicans hasn't lowered our taxes, improved our children's education, or made our streets and schools safe. Because we are Texans, it is time to put aside the failures of those parties and make this the Texas we've always known it could be.

From the Campaign Scheduler, Stephanie Zachry:

On Friday, May 21st, Jeff was interviewed by KTRH (Houston's #1 radio news station) Anchor Scott Crowder for a story scheduled to air Monday, May 24th. The timing is sublime: that's Jeff's birthday!

Also, two more endorsements will be announced soon: one from a long-time LP of Texas activist, and one from outside the LP, an individual who represents two different constituencies that we need to make inroads among if 2010 is to be a breakthrough year!

Personal note: One thing I noticed about Jeff back when we attended college together which has never changed: his devotion to the cause of the Rights of the individual. Given that, if you would like to help him celebrate his birthday, the best way to do that would be to volunteer for the campaign, or make a financial contribution! You can volunteer via
