I'm running for Governor because Texas deserves better than politics as usual. Switching back and forth between Democrats and Republicans hasn't lowered our taxes, improved our children's education, or made our streets and schools safe. Because we are Texans, it is time to put aside the failures of those parties and make this the Texas we've always known it could be.

MEMBERS LIKE DAIELL'S ANTI-ANNEXATION STANCE

(Houston) - Jeff Daiell, a candidate for the 2010 Libertarian

nomination for Governor of Texas, today addressed the Monthly Luncheon of the

Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce. He drew a good response to his stand

against forced annexation of areas such as theirs by major cities such as Houston.

Daiell first presented "Respecting the Rights of Individuals," an

introduction to libertarianism, then addressed the immigration issue and closed with

comments about Texas' Municipal Annexation Act.

Daiell wants the Act amended to require voter approval of any

annexation, with one referendum within the area targeted, and also one within the
