I'm running for Governor because Texas deserves better than politics as usual. Switching back and forth between Democrats and Republicans hasn't lowered our taxes, improved our children's education, or made our streets and schools safe. Because we are Texans, it is time to put aside the failures of those parties and make this the Texas we've always known it could be.

If I fail, if I succeed
At least I live as I believe.
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity.

--- Whitney Houston, "The Greatest Love Of All"

I want to thank all of those who helped with the campaign, in whatever fashion. I left the Convention with my heart broken, but my honor intact.

There are many Libertarian nominees worthy of your support -- Roger Gary, Mary Ruwart, David Smith, Jim Strohm, Fred Jones, Mike Hope, Jim Prindle, among others. I hope you will do what you can for them, and for the wider cause of Human Rights.

For Texas and Liberty,

Jeff Daiell

Dear Esteemed Delegates:

Greetings from the other end of I-35! As you convene this weekend, I am pained that I cannot be a part of the proceedings. I love a good convention, and Pat Dixon, Art DiBianca, and the rest of the Texas LP certainly know how to host a great one!

I sat down to write about Jeff Daiell, but I realize that some of you might need to be reacquainted with me. I have been a member of Libertarian Party for a decade. I started working as a volunteer on the 2000 Harry Browne presidential campaign. I called local radio shows, published editorials, and distributed literature. In my continuing involvement with the party, I carried picket signs, gave speeches, marched in parades, wrote letters to local newspapers and generally raised awareness like so many of the hard-working activists that donate their time and effort to the cause of liberty.
