This morning I was a guest on "Latino Talk Radio". Unfortunately, the host resorted to the old trick of claiming that the Libertarian call for repeal of lifestyle crimes meant that we think it's "OK" (his word) for individuals to use drugs such as heroin and cocaine.
I had expected better of this individual, and I was sorry to see that I was wrong. Nonetheless, I was able to point out how many thousands of crimes of violence and theft go unsolved in Texas, with so much of our law-enforcement effort devoted to lifestyle crimes, and to note that organized crime and terrorist organizations are benefiting from anti-drug laws, so I am glad I had the chance to be on the show.
